I went to get my car inspected. The staff was very nice, however, after waiting all day when it was supposed to only take 1-3 hours they were explaining to me what all needed to be done and my total amount came out to $1,371.45. I knew this couldn't be right and had them reject it. The next day I took it to a dealership where it passed with flying colors. I told the mechanics what I was told before. They told me that was not true and that the only thing my car really needs is an oil change and new front tires by next year. Everything else was fine. I don't know why B&L was charging me so much plus $200 an hour for labor which is crazy but I won't be going back.
Sarah, On your vehicle, we were contacted via the state police about your failed repairs. The VA State Trooper made a visit to our location where he inquired about the items we failed the car for and he was shown pictures from our digital inspections that we performed on your vehicle. After seeing the pictures the Trooper stated we were correct in our decision for the items we failed and that he would be visiting the technician at the dealer to handle the rest of the investigation. He did also state that he was going to have the technician to go ahead and pass your vehicle as to not delay you further. I apologise that you received conflicting information in reference to your state inspection, and just wanted you to know the entire story. Also, you mentioned our labor rate at $200 per hour, and I would like to just take one moment to address this. Our labor rate for repairs is $109.97 and I am at a loss to where the numbers you're mentioning are from since doubling our labor rate is not within our practice. Our number one goal at B&L is to provide superior service that our customers expect and thus providing you with the safest and most reliable automobile for you and your family. We hope that you will visit our facility again to see why we are the number one five-star Google rated automotive repair facility on the Peninsula with twice the reviews of most others, and number one Certified Auto Repair Facility on the East Coast for 2015. Sincerely, Brad Brown Owner 3rd Generation
