While traveling from DC to Virginia Beach last Wednesday evening, my car alerted me that I had a tire that was nearly flat. I pulled off at the nearest exit, and I was fortunate to meet Liz. She was closing up the business for the evening, but she graciously opened up the service bay and put air in my tire. That allowed me to make it down the road to get my tire replaced. It was dark, I was (a female) alone in an unfamiliar place, and I was faced with the possibility of waiting hours in the cold for a tow truck to bring my car back to Virginia Beach. Instead, I made it home safely and expeditiously to my family. A famous quote says: “Kindness can transform someone’s dark moment with a blaze of light. You’ll never know how much your caring matters. Make a difference for another today.” Liz, thank you for transforming my dark moment with a blaze of light! I am incredibly grateful for your kindness.
